Amidst Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress leaders are busy image makeover of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and for the same the congress leaders have taken the matter to the microblogging site Twitter to threaten the influencers with legal action over some old memes of Rahul Gandhi.
Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate and Youth Congress President are asking users to seek apology for calling Rahul Gandhi Pappu or face legal action. Comedian and influencer Shubham Gaur uploaded a video on twitter apologising for using bad words for Rahul Gandhi. Reportedly, more influencers to follow the suit.
However, the congress spokesperson and youth congress president went overboard with his idea and demanded apology from Rahul Gandhi for calling Rahul Gandhi pappu in Lok Sabha a few years ago.
In 2018, Rahul Gandhi said “Haan me Pappu hun” (yes, I am Pappu) in Lok Sabha.
“Calling him Pappu is derogatory, and we will not spare anyone calling Rahul Gandhi Pappu, not even Rahul Gandhi.” Said Srinivas.
