Bangladeshis start immigrating to the US hoping that the US will mistake them for Indians and deport them to India
Hearing the news of Trump deporting illegal Indian immigrants to India, Bangladeshis have started immigrating to the USA, hoping that the US will mistake them for Indians and deport them to India.
Speaking to The Fauxy, one Bangladeshi on his way to the USA said, “Due to recent fencing and increased vigilance on Indian borders, it’s hard to cross into India directly. So, we are immigrating to the US because people there are so ignorant that they can’t tell the difference between Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, and Sri Lankans. They’ll deport us to India, where the state government will treat us like their sons-in-law, and the central government will only threaten but never actually deport us back.”
Inspired by the Bangladeshis’ innovative idea, even legal Pakistanis whose visas are about to expire are now claiming to be Indian so they, too, can be deported to India instead of returning to Pakistan.
