Overoxygenated After Boarding Empty Local Train – Mumbai Man Dies

Mumbai local trains have been the cause of several mishaps and even deaths. In an unfortunate incident, a resident of Dombivali died on a local train this Sunday. Preliminary reports suggest that he died due to inhaling an excessive than normal amount of oxygen.

Mahesh Bhosle, a Mumbai Indians fan, used to commute from Dombivali to CST on a local train every day and was used to an extremely crowded bogey. But as fate would have it, on Sunday morning he was asked to report to the office for some urgent work which was the cause of his eventual and untimely death.

Mahesh reached Dombivali station at around 11:30 in the morning but did not board the local train until 12:15 as all the trains were empty. After getting repeated calls from his boss and colleagues, Mahesh had no option but to take the 12:27 fast train to CST. For the first time, he sat on a window seat and within minutes started experiencing severe chest pain. Mahesh de-boarded the train at Kurla station and immediately rushed to the Asian Heart hospital where he was declared brought dead.

A cardiologist at Asian Heart Hospital, Dr R.S. Murthi as a precautionary measure has requested all Mumbaikars who travel by local trains to always carry plastic bags for suffocating themselves just in case a train is empty and there’s enough oxygen circulation.
