Zomato recently had to pay Rs. 55000 to a Pune lawyer for goofing up on an order placed by the lawyer. The lawyer had placed a Veg Biryani order for which he got Chicken order. Zomato has apologized for the goof up and has fired the delivery boy.
Zomato customer service manager Shwetank Srivastava spoke to the fauxy and said, “It is the mistake of the delivery boy. We expect them to eat out the chicken from a non-veg order before delivering it to the customer but he did not do it. It is strictly against protocol. We have informed the other delivery boys to be extra careful while delivering and finishing off all chicken parts before delivering.”
It is not clear whether the delivery boy made this mistake unknowingly or it was only to get fired and look for another job. But one thing is clear. Zomato is serious about giving the best service to its customers, so if you have an appetite for chicken and can taste the food before delivering it to the customer, Zomato is the place to be.
