Vietnam has run out of its popular coffee as Indians visiting the country are bringing Vietnamese coffee back for their friends and families in massive amounts.
Reportedly, Indians have found a new dream vacation destination in Vietnam, and millions of Indians are now visiting the country. They are taking its popular coffee back to India for their friends and families, which has created a shortage of coffee in Vietnam. The Vietnamese government is now likely to put a cap on the amount of coffee one can take.
Speaking to The Fauxy, a Vietnamese government official said, “Indians are not taking our coffee just as a souvenir; they are almost smuggling it.”
Currently, Vietnam is switching to Indian masala chai amidst the Vietnamese coffee crisis.
