Youtuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested for spying for Pakistan, has now revealed that she spied for Pakistan in exchange for fresh episodes of Pakistani serials.
Speaking to the Fauxy, Jyoti Malhotra blamed Indian TV serials, saying, “They are so bad that I got hopelessly addicted to Pakistani serials. Sensing my weakness, the ISI lured me by promising fresh episodes of Pakistani serials that weren’t even aired in Pakistan yet, in exchange for sensitive information about India.”
The government is now considering lifting the ban on Pakistani TV serial producers while banning Indian TV producers like Ekta Kapoor—so they can create similar serials in India, and Pakistan will no longer be able to exploit Pakistani serial addicts of India.
