In an unexpected diplomatic breakthrough, Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to a ceasefire with Ukraine following a two-hour phone call with Donald Trump — not out of goodwill, but sheer exhaustion.
The Fauxy sources say that Trump initiated the call to “offer historic mediation,” but spent most of the time reiterating how he brokered the ceasefire between India and Pakistan and “didn’t take credit.”
Putin reportedly tried everything from fake disconnections to blaming poor network, but when nothing worked, he finally said, “Okay, ceasefire. Now hang up.”
However, the moment the two leaders hung up, Trump had already posted about how he secured another ceasefire in a two-hour call — but will not take credit for it.
Meanwhile, Israel is also considering a ceasefire with Palestine to avoid Trump’s phone call.
