Addressing a massive protest rally, dubbed ‘Azaadi March’, Pakistan hard-liner cleric Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman gave Pakistan PM Imran Khan an ultimatum to resign within 48 hours. Saying that Imran Khan has destroyed the economy, the opposition leaders demanded his resignation and also called the election a big fraud.
However, PM Imran Khan, who hasn’t completed even two years in office, has denied to resign saying that if he resigns he’ll not able to claim the gratuity amount. (Minimum of 5 years is required to claim Gratuity). Imran Khan has also asked that even if he resigns he’ll serve notice period of three months.
If sources are to be believed, PM Imran Khan is likely to pass a bill which would increase the notice period from three months to three years in that way he’ll save gratuity even if he resigns in a couple of months.
