Leading porn website Porn Hub has landed in a legal soup in India, one of its biggest consumer markets. The pornographic website has been directed by the Mumbai Traffic Police to bear Rs. 5 crore in fines due to violations of traffic rules.
Porn Hub which was banned in India a few months ago continues to be accessed at large by the Indian public. The website’s traffic is in fact breaking all records after the imposition of the ban. This did not go down well with the Indian authorities who used the newly implemented Traffic rules to penalise the online porn video company after a disgruntled engineer filed a complaint.
The engineer, Jawahar is a single boy from Pune and has been working as an engineer since 10 years. That fateful Saturday afternoon, Jawahar travelled back all the way to his house, braving all odds against the Mumbai’s traffic & hectic commute. He then opened his laptop to enjoy some personal time but was heavily disappointed due to the mad traffic at the Porn Hub website. It was the last nail in the coffin for him and he went on and registered a complaint with the Twitter department of Mumbai Police.
“These new rules will ’bring down’ the Indian economy among other things. Government should not be so ‘hard’ on us. Traffic rules should be implemented on those ‘horny’ car drivers first!” said an agitated Porn Hub subscriber.
