On August 2, the health department of Delhi Govt claimed that they have received an RTI application where the RTI activist is seeking the weight that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has gained in last eight years.
Reportedly, the Delhi Govt has denied to answer the query saying neither the weight of the CM or the hair of deputy CM comes under the definition of information ‘Information’ as per the Right to Information Act (RTI Act), 2005?RTI.
The RTI activist, Amit Kumar tweeted that information” means any material in any form relating to any private body which can be accessed by a public authority under any other law for the time being in force. Leader’s body might be a private body but is accessed by people. Hence, it must come under RTI.
Amit Kumar is reportedly reaching Delhi High court in this matter and Delhi High court might order Delhi Govt to reveal the weight change of CM Arvind Kejriwal.
