Man Caught Laughing While Writing A #MeToo Apology

After the #MeToo movement hit India, apology letters started flooding the internet and social media. However people sending these apology letters are not actually apologetic about their behaviour and this got established with the incident in Delhi metro where a man was seen laughing while typing an apology letter which he later uploaded on the famous social networking site, Twitter.

On Saturday, Utsav Banerjee, freelance writer, boarded the already crowded metro from Rajiv Chowk and soon after getting a place to stand he took out his phone and started typing an apology letter in response to a barrage of tweets mentioning how he misbehaved with various women. However, Utsav was totally unaware of the fact that Abhishek was continuously peeping on his phone.

Abhishek later narrated this story to us. Abhishek also told us that Utsav while writing the apology letter switched through multiple apps, including Shashi Tharoor’s timeline on Twitter, AIB’s Instagram and Safari that had a porn website open.

Ironically enough, while writing the apology, Utsav had no clue that he’d share a laugh or two with several social media users too, who reportedly laughed uncontrollably after reading his statement.
