Low-Cost Indian Airlines Now To Charge Extra for Safety

Low-cost Indian airlines have now decided that safety will be a premium feature, and passengers will have to pay extra to opt in for it—just like they do for window seats, additional baggage, or extra legroom.

The decision comes after airlines failed to fix long-standing issues with their existing aircraft and are reportedly finding it difficult to ensure safety for all passengers by default.

Speaking to The Fauxy, an airline chief said, “When safety is a luxury on ground in India, then why should it be any different up in the sky?”
