Jyotiraditya Scindia Seeks Kamalnath’s Resignation After He Announces Preference To People from MP For Jobs

Just after taking the oath of Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Kamal Nath has sparked a controversy with his comments on migrants from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar who generally take up jobs in Madhya Pradesh. Kamalnath announced that first preference shall be given to people of Madhya Pradesh and not to the people from other states.

The news has grossly upset the people of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. However, surprisingly, the one who is the most upset with Kamalnath’s remarks is his own party member Jyotiraditya Scindia, who was dreaming of becoming MP’s Chief Minister just a few days back.

Rejecting its own ideology of “Yuva Josh” and providing a first preference to a local person, Congress chose Kamalnath, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, as the CM candidate while MP born Scindia got nothing at all. If sources are to be believed, Scindia has asked Kamalnath to resign from the CM’s post on the same grounds and live up to his statement.

A political analyst pointed out that the prime reason behind Sonia Gandhi not choosing Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sachin Pilot as CM of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan respectively is her constant worry for her son Rahul Gandhi who will not be able to stand as Congress’ PM candidate if these two young politicians deliver benefits to people.
