Big news is coming from Panipat, Haryana, where a young Jat man named Sukhwinder had been fooling his family for four years by claiming he was going to Delhi to participate in protests, when in fact, he was working at a factory in Noida.
His family was completely unaware of the situation until the police arrived at their house for address verification after he applied for a job elsewhere, leading to this revelation. The family was deeply saddened to learn that instead of protesting, their son had been working a regular job.
Speaking to the Fauxy, the man’s father said, “Protesting was our family tradition. My father protested alongside Gandhi during the freedom struggle and even endured beatings from the British, and my mother still participates in every protest, earning 500 rupees a day.”
After the man abandoned his ancestral work of protesting for a private job, his family is currently worried about who in the community will agree to give their daughter to him.
