Big news is coming in from Himachal Pradesh, where Congress has now devised a toilet seat-sharing formula for the residents of Himachal Pradesh after levying a toilet tax on them.
The Himachal Pradesh Congress government’s ₹25 per toilet tax has met with resistance from Himachal Pradesh residents. To address this, Congress devised a Toilet Seat Sharing formula using its years of experience of seat-sharing with its alliance members.
According to Congress’s formula, people can save taxes by sharing a toilet. Two people can use it at the same time, facing opposite directions, or use it one after the other but flush only once, which will also save on the water bill. Meanwhile, the neighborhood can share a single toilet by paying a small fee to the owner, saving their own tax and creating extra income and employment for the toilet owner.
Speaking to Fauxy, the President of the Congress Toilet Seat Sharing Committee said, “We want ‘Muhabbat ki dukaan’ in Himachal. People will love each other more if they share the toilet together because ‘sharing is caring.'”
In response to Congress’s formula, Himachal Pradesh residents have devised their own free formula and have started open defecation.
