A CEO of an Indian company in Bengaluru fired 8,000 employees only to show that his company has also started using AI.
Fauxy sources suggest that “the CEO initially planned to fire 4,000 employees just to show everyone that he, too, knew how to use AI to cut company costs. But after seeing giants like Microsoft, IBM, and Oracle fire 8 to 10 thousand employees, the CEO doubled the number. However, as he didn’t have that many employees, he first hired 4,000 employees only to fire them and prove that his company had also become as big as those MNCs under his leadership“.
Currently, the CEO is asking AI how he can save the company from shutting down, as he has fired all the employees — and the AI is suggesting firing himself as the first step.
