Aam Aadmi Party leaders Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj on Thursday took oath as new ministers in the Delhi government. The newly inducted ministers replace Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, who resigned after being arrested over allegations of corruption.
Foreseeing the raids by CBI and ED after becoming ministers in AAP, Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj today reached Delhi High Court to apply for anticipatory bail.
Speaking to The Fauxy, Saurabh Bharadwaj said “I’ll be arrested too, CBI was just waiting to know who is sworn as minister and I am sure before I reach my home, CBI will. CBI wants to stop AAP’s politics of Scam..err.. development”
Reportedly, earlier another AAP MLA was chosen for the ministerial position but the MLA resigned from the party fearing arrest. The MLA under the condition of anonymity said “CM Kejriwal doesn’t sign any file or document so the direct accountability comes to us, we can’t take that risk”.
Delhi High Court agreed to entertain the bail petition filed by Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj, saying it’s AAP Govt corruption will happen sooner or later.
