Reportedly, during a divorce proceeding where a wife was seeking separation because her husband kept touching his cold feet to her under the blanket. The Supreme Court not only recognised this as domestic violence and awarded her half of her husband’s salary and property, but also sentenced him to two years of rigorous imprisonment for such cruelty.
