A father from Ahmedabad started forcing his son to become gay and marry a man after learning that women earn less than men due to the gender pay gap.
Speaking to The Fauxy, the father said, “Arranged marriage is like a business deal. When I learned that women make less money than men, I decided to marry my son to another man to maximize our family income. Yes, I could demand dowry if I married my son to a girl, but dowry is just a lump sum, while my son-in-law’s higher salary will be like a SIP, and SIP is always better than lump sum in the long term.”
Impressed by his business acumen, his Gujarati friends and relatives have also decided to follow in his footsteps.
