A Bengaluru start-up that threw a party for its employees after turning a profit for the first time went back into losses due to that party’s expenses.
Fauxy sources suggest that, “to maintain the glamour of the start-up, the founders organized the party in a five-star hotel, where their overworked and underpaid employees ate and drank so much that even the company’s profits and assets couldn’t cover the Bill“. The HR then had to make the employees clean hotel plates and utensils in the name of a “team-building exercise.”
Currently, the investors are begging the founders to deliberately make bad decisions so that the start-up never becomes profitable again.
