Big news is coming in from Mumbai, where a stampede-like situation has developed in front of the newly opened Tesla Store, after people started queuing up to be the first Indian to own a Tesla.

Sources suggest that they even tried to stop CM Devendra Fadnavis from inaugurating the store, thinking he wanted to buy the first Tesla for himself. When the police intervened, the crowd began protesting against him for allegedly using his political power for personal gain.

Speaking to The Fauxy, a man standing in the queue—who was also the first Indian to buy Starbucks coffee, H&M clothes, and an iPhone when they were first launched in India—said, “I don’t care if the price of the car is double that in the US and we lack the infrastructure to use a Tesla to its full potential. All I want is to own the first Tesla to make my friends and neighbours jealous.”

After noticing that the Tesla showroom banner was only in English and Hindi, MNS workers also reached the scene. But since almost everyone present there was rich and powerful, they just beat up a nearby panipuri seller for no reason and called it a day.

Currently, seeing rich people caught in the stampede-like situation, the government has immediately taken action and is now planning to increase taxes on these luxury products exponentially to discourage such incidents.
