A UP man, thinking his income will rise now, spent all his savings to celebrate India becoming the 4th largest economy.
The man invited all his friends and neighbours, served good food, great liquor, and started the celebration with fireworks and by cutting a 56-inch cake with PM Modi’s face printed on it. Speaking to The Fauxy, the man said, “Now that my one-month income will become more than my yearly savings, I spent it all to get used to living in luxury.”
However, when our reporter told him that India is still at 143rd place in per capita GDP and his income will not magically increase, he got offended, took back his cake from us, and continued celebrating.
