After multiple controversies, Zomato, the food delivery company has reportedly with a solution to improve the customer service and reduce the customer wait time. After online payment method and COD (cash on delivery), Zomato has decided to add another payment method POD (Punch On delivery) method.
Reportedly, the POD method will be one of a kind payment method which can be used by either of the customer or the delivery person. If the customer has no money and still wants the food then the customer can punch the delivery boy and shut the door. Similarly, if the customer refuses to pay then delivery boy can snatch the food delivered and punch the customer before running away.
The POD (Punch On Delivery) method will be put to execution from 1st April 2021, that’s new financial year. The company has kept a target of 1 million POD transaction for its first fiscal year and 10 million for the next fiscal year.
