In its continuous oppression of Muslims, the Indian government today passed the draconian Waqf Amendment Bill—stripping the Waqf Board of its right to own everything.
Now, the people illegally occupying Waqf land just because they inherited or purchased it can appeal in courts instead of the Waqf Board’s decision being final, blatantly handing the rights of Muslims to people of other religions.
The opposition initially resisted, but after the government assured them that the old Waqf Act would still apply to the properties owned by opposition leaders, they swiftly changed sides and supported the bill.
