US Students Stranded In Ukraine Identify Themselves As Indian To Get Evacuated
International students studying at medical schools in Ukraine are seeking routes out of Ukraine as Russian troops move across the country. While India is doing its best to evacuate its students from Ukraine through neighbouring countries, US and Pakistan have leave it to the students only.
India started Operation Ganga to evacuate its students and so far it has evacuated over 1000 students. Earlier today, an Air India flight reached Ukraine’s Kharkiv city where many US students also boarded the flight and upon asking they identified themselves as Indians.
Upon asking a US Student who was boarding Air India flight, she said “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”
Many Pakistani students too were seeing chanting “India.. India..” while they boarded the flight.
Pakistan PM Imran Khan in a press conference said that India should utilise CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) to bring students from all nations to India and once these students are in India they can go back to their respective nation.
