Even after a month, the protests against CAA, which has created fear among Muslims, don’t seem to settle down and protestors are hitting streets with placards and banners against the Act and the Modi government across the globe. Some of the CAA protests suggest that the protestors are against showing the documents even if the government asks them and it has led to some serious and funny situations across the world.
In a bizarre yet funny incident, a UK NRI protestor, Samir, has burned all his documents, which are likely to be asked for NRC, and is now facing serious problems in returning to India as UK officials are not granting him a visa and flight boarding passes and other related documents.
Speaking to The Fauxy, the UK official said: “Look We don’t have a problem granting him documents but for that, we need to at least have his identity proof, which he says he doesn’t have now, to prove which country he actually belongs to“.
MEA India is talking to UK officials and is requesting Samir to produce a few witnesses who can ascertain his identity but due to Samir’s rude behaviour, even people who know him don’t want to be his witness.
