Following the controversy due to its newly launched ad ‘ekatvam’, Titan, which owns the Tanishq jewellery brand, witnessed heavy losses at the stock market on Tuesday. The controversy and outrage are going to cost Tanishq even more as festive seasons are around and Tanishq has upset its own core customers.
However, Tanishq is yet again using its creative liberty to re-establish its brand image to cover up for the losses. In one such attempt Tanishq has made Baba of Baba Ka Dhaba its new brand ambassador. Tanishq wish to gain sympathy using Baba card.
Speaking to The Fauxy, Tanishq brand manager Sonali said “Baba Ka Dhaba became a popular brand over night and it was supported and loved by millions, if we take Baba Ka Dhaba our side many of its followers can be fooled to support Tanishq too. Let’s see how it goes”
