On third day of Operation Ganga, an operation to evacuate Indian nationals stuck in Ukraine amid Russian military operation in the country, over 1000 students were safely brought back to India. Union Minister Smriti Irani welcomed the students at the Delhi Airport. Smriti Irani said “Welcome back home! Your families are waiting with bated breath. You have shown exemplary courage. Let’s thank the flight crew as well“.
However, despite brought back safely from war-torn Ukraine the students appeared disappointed and upon asking they told they were expecting better welcome. One student said he thought Smriti Irani ji will welcome them in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi style.
Govt later arranged climax episode of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and popcorns for the upset students.
