South Delhi girl Sets Jim Corbett Park on fire To Show Solidarity With Her Australian Friend; Arrested

The raging Australian bushfires, one of the worst in its history, has killed at least 26 people, burned over 10 million hectares of land, destroyed over 2,000 homes and pushed many species towards extinction. The world is showing sympathy towards the residents and animals in Australia.

A South Delhi girl gave her contribution towards the solidarity by setting a part of Jim Corbett Park on fire. She did so to show her sympathy towards her Australian friend. Pooja Srivastava, the South Delhi resident is very caring and wants to have all sufferings that her friends go through. As soon as she heard about the massive bushfire in Australia and how life is impacted there, she headed off to Jim Corbett in her Mercedes car and set a portion on fire.

She also clicked selfies with the fire and tagged her Australian friend saying “We are with you, you will not walk alone”. Rumours say that the caption was provided to her by Ananya Panday. The Australian government is pleased with the kind gesture and wants to honour Pooja with an award for the same. Meanwhile, Pooja has been arrested by the police in India.
