In an interview with Shashi Tharoor, Congress’ MP from Thiruvananthapuram, two women journalists were seen inquiring him about the bill that he presented in the lower house of the parliament which proposes to make stalking a non-bailable offence. In the thirty minutes long video, which is now available on YouTube, Shashi Tharoor was seen giving a live demonstration of what stalking is all about. Merely 30 seconds into the video, Shashi Tharoor was caught catching glimpses of the journo’s cleavage which went on throughout the video.
Soon after the video was uploaded on YouTube, various photos of the video went viral on social media and Shashi Tharoor was left red-faced. Many termed the entire episode as an epitome case of irony, since a person proposing a bill against stalking is himself busy stalking. To ensure that the incident doesn’t happen again, Shashi Tharoor has made a welcome announcement through his Twitter account. From now on expect Shashi Tharoor to appear with dark shades or goggles in interviews which are hosted by women.
This is not the first case of irony involving Shashi Tharoor. The Congress MP who is alleged to have been involved in his wife Sunanda Pushkar’s mysterious death is usually hailed by the Feminist brigade and regularly speaks on women issues.
