SBI requests SC to extend deadline for sharing electoral bond data, claims OTP not received

Big news is coming in from Supreme Court where State Bank of India has filed an application in the Supreme Court seeking an extension of time till June 30 to furnish information regarding Electoral Bonds to the Election Commission.

Reportedly, SBI in its request application has claimed that it has initiated the transaction but hasn’t received the OTP yet.

Speaking to The Fauxy, a senior SBI manager said that by the time we receive OTP it already gets expired, and this process takes a few month hence, we have demanded an extension of three months. By the end of June the process of receiving the OTP and entering the OTP will be completed.

SBI also claimed that due to extended lunch hours the transaction got delayed and frequent bank holidays has further delayed the process.

RBI is likely to announce its verdict on the SBI application of date extension to June 30th by July this year.
