Saif Ali Khan Allows Kareena Kapoor To Celebrate The Decriminalisation of Adultery by Supreme Court

The Supreme Court in a historic decision today, decriminalised the adultery law, thus providing massive relief to many unhappy couples across the country. The five judges bench unanimously said that “The husband is not the master of the wife,”, thereby taking up the issue of gender equality. The adultery law was a 158-year-old colonial-era law which dictated that a woman could not be punished as an abettor and instead, a man shall be considered to be a seducer. It also did not allow women to file a complaint against an adulterous husband.

Soon after the Supreme Court’s verdict, adults across the nation started celebrating and many Bollywood celebrities tweeted and congratulated the entire nation on this historic win. Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan also expressed her views on the issue after Saif Ali Khan allowed her to tweet and celebrate.

Kareena Kapoor tweeted “There are many things that he allows me to do that make my life better. Today he allowed me to celebrate the strike down of adultery law by SC, so congratulations to all.”
