Running Short Of Ministers To Welcome Students From Ukraine, PM Modi Asks Amit Shah To Buy A Few From Other Parties

As Indian nationals from war-torn Ukraine return home through special flights arranged as part of Operation Ganga – several Union Ministers were seen welcoming them on their landing.

However, with the increasing numbers of flights and students returning back to India from Ukraine, the govt is falling short of ministers to welcome them and not welcoming any group of students with same enthusiasm would mean partiality.

To address the issue, PM Modi has asked Amit Shah to talk to other parties and get some MLA and MPs to the BJP and give them portfolio on temporary basis. Reportedly, Amit Shah is in touch with over 30 MPs and MLAs. Once all the students are welcomed, the portfolios will be taken back from these newly appointed ministers. However, these ministers can remain in BJP for as long as they wish.

Existing ministers are protesting against the decision and are ready to do overtime to welcome the students as they fear losing ministerial portfolios to the leaders coming from other parties.
