Rahul Gandhi Strong Enough to Pull His Own Chair, Says Congress on Trump Pulling Modi’s Chair

US President Donald Trump gave a warm welcome to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House on Thursday. In a moment that caught attention, President Trump was seen pulling out a chair for PM Modi. While BJP leaders and supporters hailed it as a sign of India’s growing global influence, the opposition criticized Modi for not being strong enough to pull his own chair.

Speaking to The Fauxy, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate said, “If Rahul Gandhi were our PM, he would have pulled his chair with his own strong arms.”

Calling it an embarrassment for India, Congress held a press conference on the issue, where all its leaders demonstratively pulled their own chairs to show how easy it is.

Taking a dig at Congress, BJP responded, saying, “If pulling a chair is so easy, why hasn’t Congress been able to pull the PM’s chair in 15 years?”
