On Day 6 of the 3,570-km march, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stopped the the Bharat Jodo Yatra at Kaniyapuram in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday morning. However, the Bharat Jodo Yatra hasn’t been abandoned at the middle, instead the Yatra will be re-started soon.
On Tuesday, Congress spokesperson Surjewala told The Fauxy, that Shri Rahul Gandhi forgot to carry Fevicol and hence, the Jodo Yatra will be restarted. Surjewala also appealed Indian couples (Bharat Jodo) to actively participate in the campaign.
Reportedly, throughout the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi will carry a bucket of Fevicol to give a strict message that everything broken will be fixed. Rahul Gandhi appealed to people to join the Bharat Jodo Yatra and complete their 10,000 steps target on a daily basis.
“Like in a marathon some volunteers stand at certain locations with water glass and energy drinks in their hands, many volunteers will stand carrying Fevicol during Bharat Jodo Yatra” told a Bharat Jodo Yatra campaign official to The Fauxy.
On the other hand, BJP has targeted Congress of favouring one particular brand of adhesive when there are hundreds of local adhesive brands. Aam Aadmi Party targeted Congress saying where was this fevicol when Arvind Kejriwal said “Gathbandhan Karlo“?
