Putin Sues McDonald’s and KFC for Copyright Infringement

Days after McDonald’s and KFC announced temporarily closure of all their restaurants in Russia in response to the country’s invasion of Ukraine, Putin has filed a law-suit against McDonald’s and KFC for copying the logo similar to the Russian restaurant Uncle Vanya and KGB.

Uncle Vanya and KGB have replaced over 2000 McDonald’s and KFC stores overnight within Russia’s borders. Both McDonald’s and KFC are in trouble as they fear invasion by Russia. Sources suggest that both the companies are going for logo change, first time since their inception.

Russia has nothing to lose, we have a lot at stake and if we don’t change our logo Russia will invade us like it invaded Ukraine.” told McDonald’s Chief to The Fauxy

KFC spokesperson said that the oil they use to fry chickens comes from Russia and in such scenario they can’t go against Russia hence, they might go for logo change.
