There have been speculations that petrol and diesel prices may start to rise after the release of state elections results later this week. However, even after four days of election results, the government is not hinting towards the fuel hike.
Opposition parties’ leaders were all geared up for the protest against the fuel hike and were ready with banners, slogans, flyers, tweets etc. When there’s no fuel hike, the opposition parties’ leaders have now decided to protest against the No-Fuel hike.
An opposition leader while speaking to The Fauxy said “enough is enough, we can’t wait anymore. If Modi government isn’t increasing the fuel price we will start buying petrol at Rs 150/litre”
“We are ready, we don’t have to do much. We will just put a ‘NO’ in front of fuel in all our banners, flyers, tweets. Government can’t keep surprising the common man” said an opposition leader while addressing a press conference.
“JP Morgan in a report said it expects daily fuel price hikes to restart across both gasoline and diesel. Then why is government not doing it? Does Modi know more than JP Morgan?” asked Sanjay Jha, Ex-congress spokesperson.
