Soon after Modi’s speech, the vaccine policy took another political turn when opposition leaders came together with another demand. Opposition leaders demanded that some credit for the vaccination drive of India be given to the farmers who are currently protesting but whose produced cotton are being used in the vaccination process.
“Vaccination wouldn’t have been possible if there were no cotton to put at the point where the syringe gets injected. Modi ji didn’t think of this before starting the vaccination and he didn’t give credit to farmers for producing cotton. We extend full support to farmers and ask them to stop supplying cotton until Modi ji recognises their effort” said AAP leader Raghav Chadda
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi told media that PM Modi is doing politics over vaccination by not giving farmers the due credit, even during Rtpcr the swab test included cotton buds but Modi ji doesn’t recognise the farmers.
Soon after, opposition leaders demanded that hundreds of farmers reach the Singhu border and started demanding credit for producing cotton. AAP govt in Delhi extended full support to the farmers and provided them beds and blankets made up of cotton to make the protest more aggressive.
