The 13th edition of the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards was held yesterday and the highlight of the award ceremony was that for excellence in journalism in Hindi.
Abhisar Sharma got the award for his sensational news expose during Amritsar train accident when more than 40 people came under a train during Dusshera celebrations organised by Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife, Navjot Singh without any prior approval. Abhisar Sharma exposed how the absence of headlight in the train caused the accident.
Abhisar Sharma, however, got embarrassed the moment he came to know that the news regarding him winning the award was in itself a piece of fake news much similar to what he personally does.
Abhisar Sharma, who abuses people on personal chats, was very angry after getting a taste of his own medicine and pledged that if he can’t win an award, then he’ll buy one just like Rajdeep Sardesai does.
