Soon after the inauguration and oath-taking ceremony, Joe Biden, the new President-elect of the US took a major step to end racism. Joe Biden announced renaming of the White House to Black House and also ordered the White House to be painted, Black. The decision was taken in consultation with Vice President Kamala Harris.
“This decision will be remembered as a symbol of BlackLivesMatter (BLM Protest). Long Live America, Longer Live Blacks” said Joe Biden while announcing the renaming of the white house.
However, this is just the beginning and the POTUS is likely to take many more steps to totally eradicate racism. Joe Biden also thanked the dead people in his inauguration speech without whom his victory was impossible.
