British ISIS bride Shamima Begum, a 19-year-old girl who in her teens fled to London from the Islamic State is yet again in the news but this time neither for Britain nor for Syria. On Tuesday, Shamina Begum released a video in which she can be seen praising the Congress party, the oldest Indian Political party, for its manifesto.
Yesterday, the Congress party released its election manifesto wherein they promised to review the AFSPA and put a control on the deployment of security forces in the Kashmir Valley. The party also promised to do away with the sedition law, thereby effectively making hate speech against the country no more an offence. The manifesto also says that the party shall bring the National Security Advisor and National Security Council under the purview of the Parliament.
Seeing all such promises that aim to weaken the national security and promote a radical Islamic ideology, several terrorists are likely to praise Congress for its manifesto. The ISIS bride was the first one to give a thumbs up to Congress only to be followed second by Malala Yousafzai.
