Hijab Row: Boy Comes To College Wearing Suicide Vest, Says It’s His Religious Identity

The controversy started last month at the Government Girls PU college in Udupi district as six students alleged that they had been barred from classes for wearing headscarf and many Muslim girls took up the practice in protest. The controversy took another turn when a man tried entering school wearing an explosive belt.

A school boy created massive unrest in Udupi college after he entered the college wearing suicide vest and upon asking he claimed that it’s his religious identity.

The boy also showed multiple tweets by popular people that say one can wear what one wants and nobody can deny him entry anywhere.

Malala has come in support of the boy as she tweeted

“College is forcing us to choose between studies and the suicide

Refusing to let boys go to school in their suicide vest is horrifying”.
