A climate change activist and Greta Thunberg fan, on Sunday proactively made holes in over 100 water tanks placed on terrace of her society buildings.
Disha, 22 years old couldn’t sleep on Saturday thinking about the amount of water that will be wasted on Holi celebration and the chemicals it will take to bigger water bodies and hence decided to ensure that the society doesn’t have any water to play Holi. She along with her one more friend punctured all the water tanks making the entire society, including some social media environmentalists, wet.
Disha has been given show cause notice by the society president for her act while she’s been applauded by many on social media for her bravery and innovation to take people out of regressive and anti-environment practices (festival).
