Fresh Government Advisory: Indian Army Personnel to Carry DSLR Cameras in the Battlefield.

The government of India has recently issued an advisory for the Indian Army which has shellshocked the entire nation. According to this fresh advisory Army personnel will now have to mandatorily carry DSLR cameras along with other ammunition to the battlefield. Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced this in an unscheduled nationally televised live address. So now our soldiers are expected to not only shoot in the battle zone but also simultaneously shoot the battle zone.

The decision is inviting a lot of criticism from the opposition, and several leaders have already ‘snapped’ at PM Modi labeling him as the most ‘Anti-Army’ Prime Minister in the country’s history. Some blamed him for losing ‘focus’ on uber important issues of the country like the recent fake attack on Umar Khalid.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi has already baptized the entire issue under the name of “DSLR Scam.” Rahul Gandhi through a tweet said “Modi has an internal connection with DSLR manufacturers and is trying to help them advance in their businesses by procuring huge quantities of DSLR cameras. It is officially a #DSLRScam.”

Soon after Rahul Gandhi’s tweet, National Herald published a full-length front-page article in print titled as “Is DSLR Modi’s Bofors?”

BJP spokesperson, Ravishankar Prasad addressed the media later in the day. He divulged facts, saying “The decision is taken at a high-level meeting chaired by PM Modi. Meeting attendees talked about leaders of other political parties who demand proofs post each battle the Indian Army fights. Soon after the surgical strike, conducted by Indian Army, many political leaders demanded our Army men for its proof”. He further added, “These demands demotivate the Army personnel who risk their lives for the safety of our nation.”

CM Arvind Kejriwal, who was among the first few people who pressed for evidence after the surgical strike, has severely criticised this advisory, but for an entirely different aspect. He was quoted saying “DSLR cameras aren’t needed and even a simple and cheap cyber shot camera shall suffice. I can share details of the manufacturer from whom I am negotiating since 2013 to purchase CCTV cameras for Delhi.” Kejriwal further expressed his wish to accompany Army men on the battlefield as their cameraman.
