On Friday, Elon Musk sacked over 500 Twitter employees as a part of his major overhaul of the troubled company. An internal document seen by The Fauxy said “500 employees were caught using twitter during office hours”. The report was given to Elon Musk by the top twitter officials.
Soon after the report, The Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk fired those 500 employees without any notice.
“It’s a pretty inhumane way to treat people. What else are we supposed to do at twitter office than using twitter. I also want to grow my account. At-least I am tweeting less than Elon Musk himself” said one dismissed employee who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Speaking to The Fauxy, Elon Musk said “I don’t use Tesla when I work at Tesla, neither I use SpaceX when I work at SpaceX, this is against business ethics. Twitter is a major distraction among employees and right now I want only those employees who are absolutely not distracted”
