Big news is coming from New Delhi, where CJI Chandrachud has claimed that he maintained one-arm distance from PM Modi while performing Ganesh Aarti with him.
CJI Chandrachud is being heavily criticized for inviting PM Modi to his residence and performing Ganesh Aarti together. In the past, he has stated that judges should keep a one-arm distance from politicians and executives. Now, people are calling him a hypocrite for not standing by his own words and mingling with the country’s biggest politician, PM Modi.
Addressing these allegations via Fauxy, CJI Chandrachud said, “I still stand by my words. I kept PM Modi at a one-arm distance from me the whole time he was at my house and even released the video for the public to verify it for themselves.”
“I kept checking the distance between PM Modi and myself, and I was so concerned with it that my mind was less focused on the Aarti and more on staying exactly at one-arm distance from him,” he further added.
Currently, all the judges of India are gathered at CJI Chandrachud’s house with measuring tapes, so they can measure CJI’s arm and also freely mingle with executives and politicians in their homes, chambers, and farmhouses while keeping the same distance from them.
