BREAKING: Arvind Kejriwal Agrees to be Declared as a National Disaster if Centre funds ₹1000 Cr. to Delhi

The devastating floods in Kerala have unveiled a class of politics which is at a different level altogether. Instead of strengthening our union as a nation, the natural disaster has plunged politics to the lowest point that could ever be imagined. Granting that the victims do need immediate attention and the best possible care, politicians have started clamoring for funds. Many are cashing in on the situation, without even having any definite plans to help the casualties, whatsoever.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi, who is currently enjoying a getaway in Germany, was prompt to demand PM Modi to declare the Kerala Floods as a National Disaster. However, little do people know that there are no established guidelines to classify a natural calamity as National Disaster. Gandhi’s eagerness, however, had its reasons, and the main idea was to pass the buck. Once declared as a National Disaster, it would necessitate Centre’s assistance and intervention to restore normalcy. It would also mean more funds from the Centre.
CM Arvind Kejriwal, who always complains of Centre’s interference in state matters, has proposed that he be called as a National Disaster but only if Centre agrees to pay ₹1000 crore to Delhi in return. Aam Aadmi Party is facing a severe cash crunch and allegedly it’s one of the main reasons behind Ashutosh, Ashish Khaitan and Rifat Jawaid’s withdrawal from the party.
It’s not the first time when Arvind Kejriwal has come up with a unique idea to draw funds. Earlier the Delhi’s CM had sought donations by showing people the dreams of a corruption-free government. Ironically enough, AAP is arguably the most corrupt party today with almost all its leaders involved in one or the other scam.
