Narcotics Bureau on Sunday arrested two Bollywood celebrities after they tweeted asking for ecstasy drugs. The celebrities used the on going Covid crisis as an opportunity to get drugs which are difficult to find.
India is witnessing second wave of Covid pandemic and the wave is deadlier and more virulent than the first one. In a short span India reached 2.5 PC cases every day, making hospitals run out of bed and pharmacy stores run out of important medicines like Remdesivir and Tocilizumab. Users are putting social media to a good use and posting about the availability of these medicines. However, the tragedy has become is seen as an opportunity by some Bollywood celebrities who are putting across ecstasy drugs need.
The Bollywood celebrities will be presented in special court on Monday. Details awaited.
