The Bollywood fraternity on Monday made a press release saying that the Bollywood has historically opposed to the attempts to impose Tollywood on the people of the hindi speaking state and warned the Tollywood against making similar attempts again.
The Tollywood’s reacted on the press release saying that it’s a democracy and let people choose what they want. The press release was made after, Shahid Kapoor decided postpone his movie Jersey to avoid clash with KGF: Chapter 2 and Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast.
Earlier, Akshay’s Kumar Bachchan Pandey and Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai had to face humiliation in theatre after Pushpa and RRR became people’s preferred choice. Even in OTT platforms, Tollywood movies are the obvious preference among people.
Reportedly, Bollywood is writing Tollywood to avoid Hindi dub of South Indian movie and instead let Bollywood make the remakes of those movie.
“If they don’t dub movies in Hindi and let us remake the movies, both Bollywood and Tollywood can happily survive. They are creative, we have ecosystem” said a famous Bollywood Director while striking two miniature cars together.
“Despite arranging poor ratings from various entertainment and media houses, I am shocked to see people still preferring these Tollywood movie, people have lost their brain” said a famous movie critic.
