Aam Aadmi Party Lok Sabha MP from Sangrur constituency in Punjab Bhagwant Mann is going to be the party’s chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Assembly elections. According to sources, Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal has made up its mind to make Bhagwant Mann the CM face for Punjab elections. However, Bhagwant Mann isn’t happy with the development and has demanded more. Reportedly, Bhagwant Mann doesn’t want CM face and wants his entire body be made CM.
Bhagwant Mann’s demand has caused rift within the party as Arvind Kejriwal also has his eyes on Punjab CM chair. A party member who wishes to remain anonymous said that Bhagwant Mann has raised the right demand as Kejriwal wanted to make his body CM while keeping Bhagwant Mann the CM face.
AAP spokesperson and leader Raghav Chadda has said that it is Party’s internal matter which will be resolved soon. If needed there will be multiple CMs with one being the CM face, and others being different parts of body of that CM.
